Bocce

We had 115 players on 22 teams for the Spring season.
Fall 2026 Bocce will begin Tuesday, September 8, and continue until October 29. Bocce is played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 6 pm. If you are interested in playing Bocce for the 1st time and would like to join, please sign up in the binder. If you have played and are not planning to play this season, or if you have any questions, please email Betty Vecchione

Our summer hiatus has ended and a new season is upon us. Bridle Path bowling will restart Monday September 14th at 2pm at the Steel City Bowl and Brews on Stefko Blvd. Park behind the bowling alley and enter on the north side entrance. Everything is the same as last spring.
For our newer residents, this is a weekly non competitive, no commitment fun activity on Mondays @ 2pm. Come one week and skip the next. No problem! We bowl two games each week, @ $3 a game. Rent your shoes for the day @ $1. We often skip holidays and when school is out, but will notify everyone on the mailing list on a case by case basis. Why not give it a try?

Bridle Path Chorus is Back

The Bridle Path Chorus will begin rehearsals for the fall session on Wednesday, September 9th, in preparation for the annual Luminaria Night concert traditionally held on the second Saturday in December. The theme for this holiday program is "Rhythms, Sounds, and Colors of the Holidays." We invite you to join this fun group of your neighbors, and sing some new as well as familiar music. No audition required. No need to worry that you may miss a few weeks due to travel plans. All who enjoy singing are welcome. We meet in the clubhouse Great Room on Wednesdays and usually from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, adjusting times slightly to allow rehearsing in smaller groups before bringing the big group together. Come earlier on September 9th at 4:15 pm to receive your music in exchange for the class fee of $15. Need more info? Contact Aileen Williams

Hanover Township Emergency Medical Services Presentation October 15th

The Director of Hanover Township’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will discuss procedures for treating medical emergencies at your home or within the Bridle Path Community. Our local EMS offers Advanced Life Support which goes beyond stabilizing care such as CPR, oxygen administration, patient monitoring and basic first aid. In addition, they now perform critical, lifesaving interventions including IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, medication administration and advanced airway management. This is especially vital during “golden hour” emergencies such as cardiac events, strokes, and severe trauma where rapid advanced care can truly mean the difference between life and death. The newly equipped ambulance will be here for your inspection.
We will also discuss your readiness in a medical emergency situation, so as not to waste time, relaying medical information to the first responders. Before professional responders arrive, ordinary citizens will be the first link in the survival chain. Action guided by preparedness and confidence can determine life or death. We will review newly developed forms for record keeping of personal emergency medical Information for travel and home. Emergency medical records for travel need to be more detailed than your local records because your local provider should have your ongoing medical history and treatments immediately available via the hospital portal.

We are still looking for graphic novels for our younger visitors. Any donations are appreciated and may be left in the basket in the Library.
“I cannot live without books.” Thomas JeffersonThe children’s books are not catalogued. Your visiting grandchildren may take and return/keep/or donate another book. The Afternoon Book Club is hosting this read aloud display, so please check out Tips for Reading Aloud, Fun Facts about Children’s authors and some Read Aloud Book suggestions.
We are still looking for graphic novels for our younger visitors. Any donations are appreciated and may be left in the basket in the Library.
October will be Crafts Month! Do you have any craft books that are piling up at home and taking up space? Time to share and start thinking about donating those books for the taking by interested residents. You can begin leaving them in the library bin. We are also interested in displaying your unique crafts and if you would like to give away any to residents, that might be fun.
Keep reading and please take a moment to visit our community library, you never know what you might find!
Nothing Yet Concert

Come hear our community band, Nothing Yet, play some 60's classic rock favorites on September 11 at the Clubhouse! The starting time for this free concert will be 5:30 p.m. on the patio, weather permitting, otherwise indoors in the Great Room. There will be plenty of dance music classics to get your feet moving, your hands clapping, and your memory reaching back to the happy excitement of the Prom, the freshman mixer, and the sock hop! If you have attended previous performances, you know the music is good, as well as fun.
If you have not heard Nothing Yet, you can be assured that you have indeed heard nothing yet! And, as it's Patriot Day, included will be a few sing-alongs to honor the day as we roll into rocking in the USA!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket for your use until you get the urge to shake, rattle and roll! Open to all residents and their guests of all ages.

Historic Bethlehem Program + Dessert!
Wednesday, October 7 at 1 p.m.in the Great Room
A Historic Bethlehem Guide will visit the Great Room in period dress to discuss Bethlehem's founding by Moravian missionaries in 1741 and its 2024 designation as the 26th UNESCO World Heritage Site in the United States. You will learn our city's founding story and what makes its Moravian settlement pattern internationally significant.
After the talk we will serve traditional Moravian sugar cake. Please sign up in the binder in the Club House by October 1 so we have enough dessert.

Bridle Path Residents - Thank You!!!
We have helped stock the pantries of both New Bethany and the Center for Animal Health and Welfare once again. On Monday 8/17, over 521 pounds of food and other needed items were delivered to New Bethany. Your generosity is so appreciated by the NB staff and those they serve. On Tuesday 8/18, the pet supplies focused on helping pet families in need were delivered to the shelter much to the delight of the staff. This specific collection will help them provide food to pet owners ensuring they can continue to care for their fur-babies. We are so grateful for your support and that of our community volunteers to make these events such a success!!!
The next quarterly collection for New Bethany is planned for November and will be our annual Thanksgiving food drive. Details will be provided in the October newsletter.

Social Committee Meeting will now take place on Monday, September 14th at 5:00pm, since September 7th is Labor Day.
Scotch Sippers will not be meeting in September due to the Labor Day holiday. We’ll see everyone on October 5th.
The pool season will splash to a close on Monday, September 14th — but good news! The Spa will keep the fun going all the way through Wednesday, October 14th, so you can enjoy those cozy fall evenings.
